Digital Theater Plus T.I.K.T.B.T. Comprehensive Guide

 Frantic Assembly's process is extremely unique from what we have previously studied in not only the way they form the show but also the way they achieve similar cathartic experiences in different ways. Much of their process is sitting down and collaborating, throwing around ideas until they find something that sticks. They do not outright begin to write a script and instead focus on harnessing the vibe or spirit of what they are going for. Much of the writing, stage design, and movement stem from the collaboration, studying storyboard images and the plot to find what sticks to them and what inspires them. Frantic Assembly is extremely detail-oriented, they study every aspect of the show searching for new inspiration or ideas to explore. By the end of the show's production, the show had begun to materialize, with the vision not being fully fulfilled until the last minute. Through the decisions they made on the stage design, setting, script, movement, music, and every other aspect Frantic Assembly was able to create an emotional, cathartic story and experience while at the same time abandoning most traditional concepts of theater.

T.I.K.T.B.T. - T.E.A.M.

 Tension: The play's tension is mostly established through the character's dynamics with each other and their interactions. The dialogue is especially poignant and realistic and accentuates the emotional depth of the scenes. The simplistic set design allows the audience to focus on the character's emotional monologues while also deepening the meaning with movement and set changes as the monologue proceeds. The use of dark blue lighting to illuminate these things while at the same time not drawing attention was a smart move. The build-up of the character's monologues and conversations with each other and the inevitable shift into an argument provides a realistic and tense depiction of dysfunctional family dynamics as well.  Emotion: As mentioned before, much of the emotion stems from the raw and powerful dialogue between the family members.
